In March, in partnership with the mayors of Cambridge and Somerville, we renamed the fund from the Cambridge Legal Defense Fund for Immigrants, marking the extension of our efforts to include Somerville. We couldnt do this important work without the generous support of hundreds of residents who have dedicated time and money since the creation of the fund in March 2018.The impact of our legal services grants 5647 1,038 438immigrants and refugees in Cambridgeresidents of Boston, Cambridge, residents of Boston, Cambridge, and eight surrounding communities wereand Somerville were helped with legaland Somerville received fullprovided legal help related to deportation, assistance and consultation by the Irishrepresentation from IIIC.work authorizations, and citizenship by theInternational Immigrant Center (IIIC).De Novo Center for Justice and Healing. 54 26 22clients statewide were granted relieflegal orientation sessions were Cambridge and Somerville residents from detention with help from the Politicalheld by the PAIR Project in immigration received legal counsel and/orAsylum/Immigration Representationdetention centers in Cambridge, representation from Greater Boston(PAIR) Project; seven were Cambridge Boston, and Somerville.
