MICROGRANTS
About
Microgrants is a new program to support innovative ideas in Cambridge, separate from the Imagined in Cambridge! Social Innovation Award. The program funds local grassroots innovators, community organizers, and creatives in Cambridge with a focus on social justice, creativity, and community-building projects that directly serve and engage Cambridge residents.
Microgrants are meant to lower barriers to funding, providing one-time grants for small-scale projects that have community impact. These grants are ideal for early-stage or emerging ideas, especially those led by individuals or small groups who may not have formal nonprofit status. Unlike the Imagined in Cambridge! Social Innovation Award — which focuses on projects that have already been tested and are ready to grow — microgrants are available to a broader pool of local changemakers and do not require prior participation in the Imagined in Cambridge! process.
If you are interested in applying for this program, please fill out this interest form to be notified when microgrant applications open.
