The Cambridge Community Foundation grows stronger with each new person who joins our mission to create a more vibrant, just, and equitable Cambridge. Today, we’re thrilled to introduce two new members of our CCF family who bring fresh perspectives and deep commitment to our work.

Sarah Mooren:

As the newest member of our Professional Advisors Council (PAC), Sarah Mooren brings valuable investment expertise and a keen understanding of what makes Cambridge unique. With experience managing investments at Brandeis University’s endowment and Cambridge Associates, Sarah sees CCF’s role as essential in addressing both the opportunities and challenges of our dynamic city.

Now a North Cambridge resident, Sarah is particularly drawn to CCF’s focus on creating opportunities for everyone to participate in community life. She sees the foundation’s work as crucial to ensuring these opportunities remain accessible to all residents, regardless of economic circumstances.

“A place where everyone can belong,” Sarah says of her vision for Cambridge’s future. “Cambridge itself is very diverse. There are so many aspects of the rich cultural fabric of this city. Having that sense of belonging, it brings different people together in new ways.”

Chris Landry:

For Chris Landry, joining CCF as Senior Development Associate represents a meaningful return to Cambridge. Having once lived off Western Avenue, Chris brings both a personal connection to the city and valuable experience from Dana-Farber’s Division of Philanthropy and Rockland Trust.

“Central Square has a soft spot in my heart,” Chris shares. This personal connection, combined with CCF’s comprehensive approach to community support, made the foundation a natural fit. “We’re uniquely positioned in that we not only support the community through grantmaking, but we also have our greater mission of supporting causes that are close to us, whether they’re in food security or arts and culture,” he explains. “It’s a really holistic way of supporting the people of Cambridge.”

Chris sees Cambridge’s future as one where the city continues to lead in education and innovation while maintaining its strong sense of community identity. “Making sure that Cambridge has a strong base in continuing to know who we are as a city… is essential for the future.”

Looking Forward

Both Sarah and Chris join CCF at an exciting time, as we implement our strategic focus on economic mobility and social cohesion. Their combined experience in institutional philanthropy and shared appreciation for Cambridge’s unique character will help strengthen our work to ensure everyone in our community can thrive.

Welcome to CCF, Sarah and Chris! We’re excited to work together in service of the city we love.
