For decades, Cambridge has grappled with the challenge of resolving deep-seated achievement and opportunity gaps that impact generations of Cambridge young people and the community around them.
In 2023, Cambridge Public Schools (CPS) and CCF partnered with THRIVE!, a nonprofit that uses technology to promote equity in government spending, to assess how CPS can best support all students in reaching their potential.
Please join us for a presentation of THRIVE!’s Equity Audit featuring founder and researcher Dr. Omolara Fatiregun, followed by a panel discussion with state and local leaders about the report’s findings moderated by Tony Clark, co-president of My Brother’s Keeper Cambridge.
Speakers include:
- David Murphy, superintendent, Cambridge Public Schools
- Heidi Cook, principal, Baldwin School
- Rahn Dorsey, former Chief of Education for the City of Boston
- Anthony Galluccio, Esq., former mayor and chair of school committee and chair of senate committee on higher education
- Geeta Pradhan, president, Cambridge Community Foundation
- Paul Reville, professor of education policy, Harvard Graduate School of Education and former Mass. secretary of education
This event is hosted by Cambridge Community Foundation, Cambridge Public Schools, and My Brother’s Keeper Cambridge. The event is free and open to all; please RSVP. A video recording will be made available after the event.
