Nothing says thank you like a party. At our “Salutes” celebration Friday, October 15, 2021, we thanked our committed nonprofit sector for the essential work that they do for the Cambridge community. Our president Geeta Pradhan and veteran nonprofit leaders spoke to the unique power of nonprofits, and award-winning blackyard’s Ashley Herring offered important insights on social innovation and introduced our 2021 Imagined in Cambridge! Award winners—all to the incredible backdrop of Nwasoul’s and DJ Indigo’s music.
This was the first time in two years that we had a chance to gather in person with our nonprofit partners. The message above from our mayor and leaders in our sector, many who departed during the pandemic, paid tribute to our nonprofits and provided insight on their importance and resilience. The Foundation is incredibly grateful for our nonprofit partners and our social innovators new to the ecosystem. Cambridge is Cambridge because of our nonprofits.
