We are so honored to serve as your community foundation.
And as one of the hundreds of generous members in our community who support our neighbors each year with a gift to the Cambridge Community Foundation, we know you join us in our belief that Cambridge should be a city where everyone feels at home.
You also know that by working together, we can make that happen.
For Jessica Roseman, home goes beyond four walls and a roof. Jessica’s home is a place of belonging—the dance community in Cambridge. In this home, she provides a common space for people who can share, grieve, find joy, comfort, connect, and celebrate together. In this home, she’s creating community.
CCF has been a champion of Jessica and her journey to create belonging for herself and those around her. We helped her realize her vision to create space for Black mothers to freely express pain and power through dance three years ago and again to advance her craft as a soloist this year. Together, we ensured that Jessica’s vision had a home in our city.
Because of our generous community, artists like Jessica and so many others can feel at home in our city. You are helping us bolster our vibrant arts community and create more spaces for belonging. You are also helping to strengthen our city’s food safety net by infusing more than $1.5 million into food access and security. Together, we work to move families from crisis, to stability, to mobility. Together, we are community.
That’s why, as your community foundation, we’re committed to thinking big and pursuing bold, innovative ideas to address our city’s most pressing problems. We’ve made a promise to make economic mobility attainable, social cohesion achievable, and collective action possible. It’s a promise we made 108 years ago and one we will keep for 1,000 more. Because at its core, that’s what community is—an enduring promise.
We’d like to invite you to join us in fulfilling our promise to ensure that everyone who calls this city home has a voice and a place where they belong—in a vibrant, just, and equitable city called Cambridge.
